In House Competitions & Awards

SCHOOL IN-HOUSE COMPETITIONS

To awaken the competitive spirit among the children, competitions are held from time to time on the class level and house level for which medals, certificates & prizes are awarded to the winners.
The school has been divided into four houses namely :-

For Class VI-XII

Satyam (Orange), Shivam (Blue), Sundaram (Yellow) & Srijanam (Green)
For children of Class VI onwards house once allotted shall not be changed. Competitions for Senior Classes:

Class VI:-

English Recitation, Group Dance, Elocution, G.K. Quiz, Sports, Solo Song, Group Song, Wow! (Wealth out of Waste) Competition.

Classes VII & VIII:-

Hindi Recitation, Group Dance, G.K. Quiz, Sports, Solo Song, Group Song , Nukkad Natak & Extempore Competition.

Classes IX-XII:-

Group Dance, G.K. Quiz, Debate, Sports, Shlok and Doha, Solo Song, Group Song, Nukkad Natak & Extempore Competition.

For Cl Playgroup – V:-

Daisy (Orange), Tulip (Green), Lily (Blue) & Pansy (Yellow)
New Houses are allotted to the children of Foundation, Class  I and Class III.
School seeks parent's co-operation to prepare the child for every activity and competition held from time to time. To give the child
a winning edge kindly remember :-

  • 1. Encourage the child to participate in ALL Competitions, as winning or losing is not only that matters, it is the participation that helps to build the confidence in the child.
  • 2. For each activity selection round is held with prior information in each section of the class.
  • 3. Selected children appear for the final round at the class level (Primary) & House Level (Senior).
  • 4.The theme for various competitions are announced well in advance for which you are required to prepare the child. Kindly always keep in mind the points on the basis of which assessment is made.
  • 5. While preparing the child :-
  • a) For Hindi & English recitation, please lay more emphasis on selection of the poem according to the theme, child's pronunciation, expression, voice modulation and overall presentation as these points are the criteria for the judgement.
  • b) For clay modelling, kindly give home made or any good quality clay to the child for practising. Encourage the child to put imagination in his creation.
  • c) For dance competitions the criteria for judgement are song selection, costume, action, rhythm & overall presentation.
  • d) Encourage the child to read daily newspaper and develop interest in the current affairs. This will help the child to compete in G.K. Quiz.
